One of my best friends at work is leaving for another job in another city. We shared musical tastes (hard to imagine there could be another person like me out there!) and many of the mixes I have submitted to AoTM were inspired by our joint musical explorations.
So, now she is leaving and I am making a "see ya later" CD -- NOT a "goodbye" CD. Well, my first attempt resulted in the dreariest, most maudlin collection of "mope rock" you can imagine. Our CD trading couldn't go out like that!
Once I scrapped those original plans, I put together this little mix. Maybe the catchy hooks will disguise my tears.
