by far one of the "coolest" actors inhabiting the artificial world of Hollywood...ahhh, gotta add to flicks another one of my all-time favs: Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean--flat-out tops on the nuttiness chart. Incidentally, great mix too brother...like this dedication mixes of yours!

I've really enjoyed this series, and Paul is onf ov my all-time favs. Really like Side A, although any collection inspired by those movies is bound to be good. I have a copy of Paul singing "Plastic Jesus" from "Cool Hand" which would fit nicely on Side A.

Excellent choices. Mr. Newman is a mensch. My cousin (Lou Taylor Pucci) is a young actor and got to ride in Newman's jet; he said yes, they have Newman's chocolate chip cookies on board. :) All-around good guy. Prison Grove fits really well, though I would like to have heard Newman singing "Plastic Jesus" from Cool Hand Luke. on this one!

excellent Dom! you've captured his late 50's thru early 70's flavor. Although the sound may not have worked, it strikes me now that the famous Strother Martin line from Luke ".... is a failure to communicate." cries out for Zep's Communication Breakdown. Oh well - that would change the tone, and I like your mix. I need to see Hud again since I can't think of what the Lalo S. track sounds like. I'd like to place my vote for an upcoming Peter Sellers mix.

You're in England, aren'tcha? I see Peter Sellers has been knocked off the recent 100 thanks to Cinematicjazz and one other guy who has loaded us up with several mixes. Anyway, Cool Hand Luke is on the American Movie Classic station at about 2am tonight, and I wanted you to know that your mix, as well as that video, would be welcome additions to my library. anything I can send you? Is Cool Hand his best role, in your opinion?
