These are looking to be quite great. Always nice to see some attention to the breadth of Eno's contributions. I posted a mix recently (Enossification) culling much of his production work and collaborative work, as well as many covers (though, damnit, burned it before I'd tracked down Jason Falkner's superb "Burning Airlines"), and it made for a nice complement to my earlier mixes of Eno ambient & Eno rock songs. I still view Another Green World as among the ten finest albums of the rock era.

I don't know much of this...and Genesis just leaves me baying for anything but, even Helen Reddy...and I must admit to having an album by him & Fripp (I think it had a mirror on the cover) and giving it a listen then sending it off to my local Charity Shop...nevertheless if Eno had just left it at Roxy Music and ran the local corner shop, he'd still be a constant in my memory...that he produced 2 of Bowie's finest works makes him special! This is a great job and a mix well executed with fine notes etc!

So, the story goes thusly: I've had this 5-disc set for a while now, waiting for the right moment to sit down with all of them and give them a good-and respectful "listen to"; yesterday the rains came down and drove me into the subterrain lair with full surround-sound stereophonic system. I slipped in all five discs and turned down the lights, lit a few candles, and laid myself down on the sofa to let the great Eno-fication begin. Damn! Disc One brought back so much to me, but also proves the aesthetic Eno seeks to inform his production work as well. (Folks, it only gets better, if that's possible!) Disc Two was perfect for the afternoon's reverie, candles dancing. Disc Three proves "you CAN go home again." Disc Four made me sit up, press "pause" and make a new cuppa' java and return for immersion....had never heard "the River" before and was smiling the entire time..beautiful. (!) Disc Five was the perfect ending to, what turns out to be, an astonsihing set. 12vman has utilized all the tools of the mixmaster: telescope for the long-and-far view, and a microscope to get the perfect nuance of the genius that is Eno. A new favorite amongst all the many discs I've ever traded for. Thank you 12vman!!!
