Comment:

most of these songs are also found on the earlier "dissonance for the damned and tormented" mix. i decided to make a variation of that one. copies of these tapes are going to be sent to some of my friends for halloween. the biggest omission from the dissonance tape is patty waters's "black is the color of my true love's hair"--the most unnerving song i've ever heard. and to think it was recorded over 30 years ago.... that song was replaced with tim buckley's "lorca" from the album of same name. another genuinely frightening song, but not as creepy as "black...." i had to come up with what i thought was a suitable replacement, and i think lorca did the trick. both songs are perfect for sitting in the dark, with headphones on, and the volume up high...... i don't think i've seen any bruce haack elsewhere on AotM. that's too bad, his electric lucifer album is utterly amazing. if you're interested in either this tape or the dissonance tape, email me. i'm always up for a trade.
