Basically I realized I had/knew a lot of songs with geographical locations in their titles so it gave me this idea--a musical "trip" from Boston (where I currently am) down to the South and back up (the mix was supposed to end back in Boston with Dismemberment Plan's "The Ice of Boston," but there were a few difficulties in the burning of the CD). Also, Broadway is a neighborhood in Buffalo, not the part of NYC, in both the song's case and this mix's case.
