Comment:

I tried to keep this to songs from the beginning of highschool and earlier. Thats when I actually listened to a decent amount of hip hop. I still do a little, but I appreciate artist that play their own instruments a bit more. I know how difficult a task it is to learn an instrument such as guitar. But at any rate, here's the hip hop/rap of my formative years. Many an hour was spent cruising with the windows down and the stereo up with these tunes on the radio, even in winter with my buddy John. Just to look cool. Lord we were stupid. It was still a blast though.

Some good stuff here. Don't get me started on that whole 'play an instrument thing'. Learning to correctly abuse the two Techincs is just as difficult...

I meant no disrespect Detale. I also have a little experience with the Technics as well. That was a long time ago though. I do still DJ but its all done electronically now. I was commenting more on the MCs who do have a talent but I will always say that a tight flow will never be as hard to nail down as a Malmsteen arpeggio.

I have no clue what one of those is, so I won't comment. I guess I've always considered the DJ/producer as the musician, the MC is the singer/writer.
