Comment:
Sirpa, don't want tapes; she want CDs and i guess who can blame her for being, you know, contemporary? Not me, just because i find nothing in life more ideal than sitting down next to a hifi with stacks of vinyl and ready to shatter CD boxes and can't really get into this clicking and dragging in quite the same way... this is swathe of what's been all in my Grill of late, and much of it is entirely due to Mykes awareness - cheers!Feedback:
don't know many on this (4-5 outta' 18)...but I've a feeling it's hip!
I also burn on a stereo unit: listen, sample the beginnings & ends, write up a rough draft...then get to work.

I do the best of both worlds. I have a free standing cd burner that I run through my stereo and do most of my mixes that way. I agree that there's something more organic about going one cut at a time and working on a feel or pacing as you go along. I've recently done a few mixes on the computer but they don't feel as personal (although it sure is quicker).
Very cool James. Love the Lali Puna, Melt Banana, Sharrock and Maher Shalal Hash Baz picks especially.
What I know I dig, and the rest I will check up
Ditto p...& yup I like to sit close to the stereo armed with albums, CD's and casettes...it's another good exercise for the wrist u know! I know little here cept for The Cocteaus but I'm sure it's great!
