Comment:
When I first started putting this together, its working title was "I Will Show You the Life of the Mind," and it was semi-inspired by the movie "Barton Fink," which might explain some of the song selections. Then I decided to use this line from the Hobart Smith and Bessie Jones song as the title instead, and the mix shifted direction slightly, which might explain some of the others. Or not. Thanks to Valis for introducing me to the Brian Jonestown Massacre.
Feedback:
Fantastic. The Hank Williams to Robert Wyatt and Johnny Paycheck -> Smith/Jones stretches suit me just fine. Great stuff.
This is really awesome, Mark.

what curtis said, love the 7-21 ;)
Nice. Great transition from Wyatt to the Adverts.
Interesting concept! The Clash - Robert Wyatt stretch I especially like - oh, and great Gang Of Four pick too.
really great mix. Love the BJM, Hank, marianne faithful, Stones, Clash, so many!
Outstanding Misfit! Love the Newman version, a lot.The stretches Clash thru' Carroll and Gang of Four to the Stones look particularly great. I claim ignorance to the rest. Oh, and Vera Hall is beautiful. Glad you're turned on to the BJM, you're welcome, always.
Interesting mix:)
