Comment:
I decided, since I mixed it over two years ago that it was time to re-jig and update my all-canadian mix. Low and behold, I had enough material this time for TWO!! Volume one is named after a Canadian cartoon on CBC that I grew up on, that's Bert from the show on the cover. I'd also like to formally announce that I am officially retiring "I Love Myself Today"...I've used it far too often. Take a gander at volume 2. Cheers! -Famous.
Feedback:
I'm hoping to see some Sloan on part 2. In a class we had to go through a few songs and pick out the hidden meanings, and the class took way too long to even suggest that "I love myself today" could be about her pleasuring herself. (Now that I think of it I think the teacher kept hinting at it, but no one said anything.) I just sat back and silently laughed at my classmates. Oh the college life for me!
This makes me want to be Canadian.
better than the other one, but still lacking. bif, sum, nickelback, watchmen, moist, olp & treble charger are embarassments.
Had to check on this one again to see if j_nuh struck again... Yeah, Famous, you couldn't make a mix if you ate music and shit out mixes!! I'm glad people feel like putting constructive comments on mixes is the way to go these days! Did I mention you have no taste, you only like the worst Canadian music! That's a bitchin' Sexsmith song, and the Neil song is probably my favorite by him! I think pound for pound your Canadian mixes could go a tight 10 rounds with an American mix but NOT a British mix, which would beat everybody. Take care!
Nice mix. In Buffalo we get lots of Canadian radio and a lot of the bands are big here.
I just saw 54-40 recently where they sold out two nights.

Oh Sweet Moses...CBlaze cracks me up. One of those people I wish actually lived closer. As far as j_nuh's comment (which will be deleted as soon as AOTM updates that feature)...I'm not going to argue with him, about what is or is not good Canadian music. I'll just say this...I have more respect for the person who enjoys listening to both Apples In Stereo and Beyonce, than those who believe that only independent music is worthwhile. Thanks for all the comments, and keep listening to WHATEVER YOU LOVE! Cheers. -Famous.
