Comment:

The second chapter of tunes from The Great White North. An apology for some artists I forgot...namely Hawksley Workman, Rufus Wainwright, The Waltons, I Mother Earth, and The Salads. Hey Blaze- lookee, I remembered the Sloan. As mentioned on the previous mix, I'm also retiring "No Not Now" and "A Common Disaster" from my mixes, I've used 'em too often. The cover is a good 'ol Canadian boy, Scott Thompson for the afore mentioned in the title Kids In the Hall. Cheers eh, and Go Leafs Go! -Famous.

Oh, man. If I ever needed more reasons to wish I were Canadian, these would be among them. Two thumbs up!

apologies in advance to the creator of these mix, but honestly, it's embarrassing that this is what people think canadian music is about. if you take out hhh, j.mitchell (side note: big yellow taxi is her worst song), sloan & c.junkies you have the *dregs* of canadian music. this stuff makes me want to LEAVE canada. if you want truly incredible, inspiring canadian music check out my mixes. sorry to burst anyone's bubble here, but i gotta speak up when my country is so poorly represented.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with that guy, you suck Famous! If you take out like all of these songs, you don't have a good mix at all, especially not a good Canadian mix. I love the Trews song, that fucker can rip it up all night on my stereo any time, just like I'll rip up that j_nuh stooge. I hope for our sake that if j_nuh leaves Canada he goes someplace where he's appreciated, like on a cross! I'm setting myself up here but I don't give a shit! Love the mix Famous (even though it sucks)!

Well, other than the Finger Eleven track (worst...song...on the radio...right now) and a few artists who aren't well represented by the chosen song (Crash Test Dummies, Joni Mitchell, Tea Party), you've done a fine job. I might have to do the same thing some day, just wait.

Like a said about the previous mix... I hear a lot of Canadian music and while I certainly don't agree with the guy below there is a whole lot more of good Canadian bands that don't get much play in the States. I really like the Philosopher Kings and Spirit of the West. Sorry about this but I'm Philly born & bred: Go Flyers!

Sorry to keep posting, I just thought of another good comment - Yeah, Famous, you need to stop making mixes for yourself and start making them so everyone else can enjoy them. What were you thinking putting music that you ACTUALLY LIKED on this? What is with some people!?!

Hey, I'm not a skater, or a goth....
I don't wear my pants low or write poetry, or own an iPod....
and I don't go to Coffee Houses, Retro Night or Urban Clubs,
although I'm certain they're really really nice.

I dig Prince, not Peaches.
I hear The Clash and The Ramones, not Mudvayne.
And I prefer Ryan Adams solo, not Whiskeytown.

I can proudly wear my Rolling Stones tee shirt wherever I go.

I believe in soul, not r&b,
Van Halen, not The Deftones,
and that the Bob Dylan is a truly profound and noble poet.
Christina has talent, Ron Sexsmith is underrated,
and it is pronounced Boh-no not Bow-no, Boh-no!!

Music is the universal language!
The first thing I experience every morning!
and the best part of being alive!

My name is Famous!!
And I love music!!!
