The year is almost 4 months old, and its about time to look back and see what's been good in my eyes. This represents my favorite albums that have been available, be it in stores or via soulseek, so far this year. So far it's shaping up to be a great year, and there's bound to plenty more good to come. Anyway, enjoy.

yeaaa man, while i haven't listened to most of that yet (and absolutely hated the deerhoof album), i give props on that this song is a mess but so am i, soooo fucking good. the les savy fav, xiu xiu, and 90 day men picks are stellar also.

yeah, a lot of people don't seem to enjoy the deerhoof, but i think its one of their best (next to reveille of course). i think i'm gonna have to make a second one of these since theres still a lot of great stuff i haven't given its due (Modest Mouse, Animal Collective, Devendra Banhart...)

HAHA!! this is weird. i was just putting together a mix, and out of curiousity i put in this song- to see if anybody else posted a mix of with his stuff in it, and now i'm staring at a mix and half of the songs on it are on mine. which kicks ass, but also makes me feel a lot less original. but yeah... i worked with freddy, and i saw him play live with xiu xiu, and the dead science a few months ago. not that you'll even read this comment, because this mix is almost a year old. but whatever.. kick ass mix!
