Comment:
There was a time and place when I used to listen to instrumental scores daily. A close friend of mine got me into them big time. Picture it- the Famous you know and love walking to the register at the music store with Stone Temple Pilots in one hand...and the DON JUAN de MARCCO score in the other (don't laugh, it happened). Still, these strings, horns and keys are great to listen to. Reminds me of all the time I spend sitting on my butt in a dark theater, and loving so many moments of it. If you like this, check out volume 2. A cover will follow in a few days. Cheers! -Famous.Feedback:
Ahh, yes, the score mix. I once made a mix using the score from Princess Mononoke sandwiching rock songs, I believe it's posted under "Every Journey Begins with a Single Song" (or something). My current score fav's would have to be the "Ring Theme" from LOTR's and the 2 Jon Brion did (Punch-Drunk Love & Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). Danny Elfman did really good work, not too sure about these days (just don't know, not a criticism).
Great choices Famous! Loved the Elfman tracks. Have you heard his score for Black Beauty?
