Comment:
Volume 2 from the vaults of Domexotica!
Feedback:
Looks fabulous, Dom! I love the varied types of artists.
Excellent stuff all round (and I mean it). "Official Suburban Superman" by Suzi Q. is a darn killer, especially if it's being followed by Slim Gaillard (and preceded by Spizz Energi - and whoever thought of THEM in the past, say, 20 years?). I know I said it before, BUT I jus wish you'd upgrade (or at least change) to CD, my friend . . .
Er, Paolo Conte (and very probably Transvision Vamp) is a serious downer, though. ;) (Hey, the Real) Tuesday Welds make up for it . . twice!)
Nice mix Dom, so The Zombies are back together so I hear! & even if I didn't much care for T. Vamp, Wendy James was a bit of eye candy!
I'll admit on the occasional trades I've participated in notably NOV and Media Mix Queen Sally I've enjoyed receivin CDs...but cassettes have a certain something that CDs don't have...and it may just be in the making of them...the frantic rush for the pause button...the piles of vinyl and CDs at your feet...the time checks etc etc (see James Porter on the subject)that go into the mix...I'm not saying that the same work doesn't go into burning CDS...I don't know what it is but I just prefer the mechanics of making mixes on casettes!
Mmmmmmmmmm. Claudine. For a while I wanted to be Andy Williams. Then later, I was glad I wasn't.
Nicely mixed here, my good man.
Like it again! - especially nice Zombies, Siouxsie and of course Jane Birkin picks.
so much great stuff here! siouxsie, birkin, bobby conn -- very nice.
Fine stuff here Dom1...white dresses in the summer light do have many charms.
Damn, Franklin Onn12 beat me to the Andy Williams quip. I just remember some Credibilty Gap joke about her. Every question she answered, including the one about the murder of her lover, she answered in her little French voice "Cause Andy says I Can.' You gotta know her voice for it to be funny. And M. Onn, aren't you glad you weren't Spider Savitch?
Oh ... and terrific mix of course!
Oh ... and terrific mix of course!
Some real gems here (and I'm with Valis on the dress). Have got to hear the Harlem Hamfats! Excellent
Damn nice mix. I love the Suzi Quatro, Headcoats, and Oasis picks, and damn I haven't heard "Kookie..." in many years (I'm not old enough to know it as a new song, though). I've given that bobby Conn several spins and I just can't find anything likable about it - I like some of his older stuff but this new one just tries my patience!
Yowza! Incredibly cool.
Very well done - much to enjoy here! Great Siouxsie choice....
........huh?......whazzzah?.....(sorry, can't stop looking thru that dress).....oh, yeah - nice mix too..................uhhhhhhhhh..............
I love this mix. Anytime I can hear Suzi Quatro and Slim Gaillard back to back, I know that someone up there likes me.
superb
fantasitc ultracool uncool joy and mash up - love the Birkin/Banshees&much more. I wish i knew the vintage stuff, most intriguing all told. Tapes are totally the best, if only because they make better noises when dropped. Or do they? I think i've talked myself out of something here...
I usually think Eclektic means just a show off but you really find a very cool and variety version of that on your mixes
