Comment:

The Holy Trinity of the early 1970's:
The Father - Lou Reed, inspiration for a generation of punks, new wavers and wannabes.
The Son - David Bowie, spread the word of the Father and made the world his Queen Bitch
The Holy Ghost - Iggy Pop, mysterious and self-mutilating, blessing the rest with his half-naked truths.
Or if you prefer, The Glam Pack: Lou as Frank, Bowie as Dean-o and Iggy as Sammy. Either way, these three gentlemen kicked serious ass and took names.
Cover by Mick Rock - the first thing Bowie said to him was, "I like your name."
Ian Hunter & Mott the Hoople are the Joey Bishop to the Glam Pack; Roxy Music were the English Velvet Underground; Marc Bolan and T. Rex as themselves.
"...and it was alright, the band was all together..."

DAMN! That was the exact picture and trio I thought of! PERFECT!! I wouldn't have thought to add the T-Rex, Roxy and Hoople picks, but they make for a great accent! It brings a tear to my eye!!!

"The Glam Pack!" Perfect Joe. Nice of Iggy to don a T. Rex shirt wasn't it?

Mott the Hoople = Joey Bishop. That is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. This is a great mix and quite inventive. Great job!

Really great. Holy Trinity indeed. Cosmic Dancer into Lady Stardust (both songs about Bolan!) is a sweet closer. I only missed Turn Blue. But choosing Iggy's version of China Girl is so cool it doesn't even matter.

All the young skinny dudes! The sprinkling of Roxy & T Rex brings it off with a nice touch.
