Comment:
Not meant to be a Mothers Day theme mix or a reflection of how I feel about my own mom (or anybody's). Just some weirdness I've been spinning this week that included anything with maternal references in the title/lyrics. Nonetheless, happy Mothers Day to all AotM moms out there. Special thanks to Rob Conroy for the Electric Eels & Gong discs.
Feedback:
Hey, my mom could beat up your mom! Excellent mix Jim. I really love the Mingus pick and the stretch from Funkadelic through the Ruins is, uhm, a motherfucker.
I echo Curtis' latter assessment.
Damn great artwork and title. I especially like the cheerleader icons around the pic. A wonderful Chris Knox pick, although you really went with a mix cliche by putting the Driving Stupid on a Mother's Day mix. I love the title of the Mingus cut. Happy mothers day mr lo-fi, becasue you are a mother of a mixer.
exactly what Dale says, Jim. Love the Zappa closer, and if you have a vol 2, a suggestion.... "Mother Sky" by Can.
Damn fine cover, and a damn fine looking mix to BOOT!
What they all said! Beautiful job.
Man, oh man. This looks really fucking great, Jim. Another classic and one for the pile, most definitely.
If they could they would, you did!
fantastic as usual.
A most impolite mix. Good work!
Brilliant, great, etc., etc.
haevy rockin' as always, spent a long weekend in Prague now, is that near where your family/relatives came originally from ?
