I'm from Liverpool. England. But I live in Texas. When my mother last visited me here two years ago, we drove around a lot listening to the country stations. She liked it. So I made her this CD - a kinda sassy best of the laydeez of modern country. She loved it. And played it a lot back in the UK. She died a year ago today. I'm playing this CD a lot now and I love it -- in a curiously bittersweet way.

Anyway, all pathos aside, these are excellent songs performed well by excellent performers, and Lee Ann Womack is probably the best singer working today - in any genre. And if you're laughing at that, download "Does My Ring Burn Your Finger?" and tell me I'm wrong.
