i've been djing for a few years, but rarely ever record my creations. other than radio programs, this is the first mix i've recorded in a long time. i didn't go into this with any concepts or ideas, except that i was pretty sure i wanted to end with "in the court of the crimson king" because it's an amazing end. so anyway, the mixing on the first side is done pretty well. i was putting myself on the coals by intentionally not thinking ahead and grabbing cds or records with, like, a minute or two left on the current song. that didn't work so well on the b-side though. halfway through, i started running into timing problems. i have yet to hear how it turned out. and then, i forgot that my copy of "in the court of the crimson king" has a skip, so that segment sounds terrible. i may do the b-side again.
