Comment:
This CD was a companion piece to a paper I deliveredin April 2004 on a Finnish DIY/punk band called
the Silver. This CD features some of my favorites
of the "DIY" genre of the 1975-1983 era.
Feedback:
P,
Of course the TVP's originally did "part-time punks" and that track will always hold a dear place in my heart; This was a very funny (and very stripped down--only drums and vocals)cover done in 1980 on their "Detailed Twang" LP, with lyrics altered slightly to reflect the updated record buying habits of 1980 (i.e. they name-check Gary Numan and Holly and the Italians instead of Siouxsie and the Banshees) All the Door and the Window material was recently given a CD reissue if your curiosity has been piqued.
