Comment:
Okay, I'm sorry. I know that a lot of folks said positive things about the first version of this mix and I really appreciate it... however, upon listening to the original version more than twice, I decided that it desperately needed some tweaking. Although I've only taken away a few songs and added a few songs, but the songs that were added gave a completely different character to the mix (it's now considerably more edgy and gloomy). The same "thank-yous" apply: thanks to lo-fi for the DNA, John Cale and LKJ tracks and to p the swede for the Orange Juice song.Feedback:
still fabulous. love everything i've heard here but especially famous blue raincoat, which is one of the most beautiful songs ever.
What our finnish friend said
This one certainly still looks great and that LKJ pick surely continues to set an edgy and gloomy tone.
Lots of great stuff here (Lenny, Wire, and so on)... How's that new Streets album? I've heard good things, but haven't had a chance to get to the record store since Tuesday. Which is, er, yesterday, I guess. Question still applies.
Interesting Monkees choice.
glad to see ramble tamble's still on there...
Well, can't remember if I commented on this first time but it looks cool. Nice to see that Streets track.
:-)
Having missed this the first time 'round I welcome the reposting. Might be my fave Hendrix tune & outstanding picks from Godz, Killing joke & LKJ. You're quit welcome for the tracks too!
Sorry I missed the first posting, looks good!
The Streets!!!! This is the first time I have seen them on an AOTM mix.... although I guess I don't look at mixes very often :) Original Pirate Material is one of my favorite albums ever. The rest of it looks pretty interesting too.
