Comment:

This mix will make way more sense to those that have read the novel, "Are You Experienced?," by William Sutcliffe. I've been writing a film script adaptation to it, and realized that I had the entire soundtrack figured out already. So, here it is. All the songs come in the order that they would in the film. Those of you that know the story may well be able to figure out where some of the songs would appropriately fit into the story.

PS: The story is about two friends, Dave and Liz, who meet through her boyfriend who has already left for a year abroad. Dave wants to get with Liz, but she won't accept his advances as he's the friend of her boyfriend. However, they do behave like boyfriend and girlfriend and are together all the time. His dreams are finally answered when Liz asks him to accompany her to India for three months, and he can't imagine how sex could not take place. They go, and meet a variety of the wacky types of travellers that we all meet (like the guy that wont wear shoes because it's inhuman to lose contact with the soil). Dave is extremely cynical about everything while Liz is the opposite extreme, and actually tries to blend in with Indian culture (while only hanging out with other tourists). She eventually ditches Dave, leaving him to travel all by himself. He tries to finish the trip all by himself, and ends up very lonely or very sick, or both. Once he comes to terms with who he is, and actually "finds himself," the last month of his trip is amazing, and he does it by actually hanging out with Indian people instead of other travellers.

Right. I assume that the only people still with me at this point are the ones that actually care, so that's the basic story, and if you make this CD, you'll see how it flows with the tale.
