Comment:
Strictly 1966-71. Songs that speak of walking through a field of daisies, belting it out onstage, having a bad trip, headaches, harspichords, aerosol spray cans and green Kool Aid.
Feedback:
Holy cow, you've got some obscure gems here. It's good to see a lot of the songs that weren't hits, and just the fact that Barbara McNair is actually showing up on a mix is cause for celebration. (Not because I like Barbara McNair that much -- it's just amazing to see her on a compilation.)
Go-go boots & Nehru jackets.
I saw this earlier today, but didn't have time to leave a comment. A checked back into the site about 8 hours later and it was already gone from the top 50! Anyway, looks like another fine mix you've gotten us into. Some great stuff I do know, but more stuff I don't know. I assume you already know that I want a copy. Also love the cover with Barbie's friend PJ, introduced to the line in 1969. My wife knows her dolls!
oops I misssed this one, looks like fun and sweet summer music
Nice, very nice. As Diana says... reflections are the way life used to be... indeed.
Bitchin! Tons of classics and a bunch I don't really know. Let me know if'n you up for a trade.
Sounds like fun! Where did you get the Patty Duke version of "I'll Plant My Own Tree" from "VALLEY OF THE DOLLS"? The only versions I have are a scratch vocal by a very inebriated-sounding Judy Garland and the movie version by Margaret Whiting that Susan Hayward lip-synched to. Tell me the story behind Patty's version?
As for Barbara McNair, I just love that song. I love the piano riff!
Great mix CD!

Absolutely wonderful. Congrats on your 'very close MotW runner up'.
Excellence abounds. Incredibly well crafted. I'd definitely like to listen to this sooner or later. Still enjoying "Smile" very much . . . :)
Splendid.
Whoa! This looks really great. Sorry that I missed this and congrats on your "runner-up" status.
Anything with Free Design and Claudine Longet gets high marks in my book. Like the name too.
