Comment:

part 5 of the fluffernutter series, recorded 07-02-98, soon after i'd moved back to the east coast. she was now my girlfriend and had actually seen my record collection. because a couple years younger than i (b. 1976), she knew most of the artists, at least by name, and this was an attempt to make sure she knew some of the essentials of late 70s/early 80s power pop and new wave. turns out she knew a lot more of the songs than she thought she did. she was not, however, interested in a tape of new wave pop hits, rendering a significant portion of my records useless for mixes.

Of all the fluffernutters - this is my fave. Like the ODW into OMD into XTC tifecta. Glad to see somebody else considers the Vibrators and essential punk band.
