Comment:

There are only a limited number of people who will be able to identify with this. First of all, they've got the be new mothers who are breastfeeding their babies. This is the soundtrack to my nightly routine. I try to get my three month old daughter to sleep while she kicks, punches, and scratches me. Basically, I'm a jungle gym. Then right when I think she's settled, she stops and just looks at me... turns her head and screams. After repeating this three or four times, I finally turn over in despair... only to find that within three minutes she has figured out how to grab my hair and pull on it while I pretend we are going to sleep like normal people (and think of songs to describe this cycle). Eventually, though, she gets it right and we go to sleep.

Very funny! My wife is due with #2 in less than a week, I'm sure she can relate!

Quite clever, Julie. Great to see Godley & Creme turn up on a mix, and I love the Talking Heads cut, too. And while I have never been a parent, your mix tells a great story of a mother's nightly routine. Great job.
