I had a party to celebrate the beginning of summer vacation. I had everyone make a theme CD that we could play for the music. This is my contribution. I put it together at the last minute, as I spent 4 days straight cleaning my apartment.Some of the songs I haven't listened to for many many summers. Here's why I selected them: 1. Seela's Summertime was included because I've always thought it was a great, unique rendition of the song. Very cool bass in the background and very smooth vocals.2. I listened to this song through the whole of last summer! 3. I wanted a Rachel's song, and this title was too much to resist,especially with my car AC out. 4. obvious summer song 5. I listened to this summer of 97 on Radio K6. has the word sun in it7nostalgic high school summer song8. peppy but with pessimistic lyrics/lovely for summer9. tornados always remind me of summer and scary road trips down tornado alley 10. Driving through small towns in Indiana during summer road trip '03, we saw a window display of nothing but several male topless manequins: bizarre scene for small town Indiana. This song reminded me of that.14. Pre-emptive summer song: I plan on listening to this song this summer. I don't know why this reminds me of summer, except that maybe the word Texas. Texas is damn hot in the summer.
