Comment:
This is the strangest mix I've ever made. The theme, I mean, is an odd one. In short, it's about kids and their parents and what happens when, well, sex happens. Er, not between the parents and kids, I should emphasize. Except, heh, in the case of Oedipus Rex, but you already know that story. No, I mean what goes down on both sides when kids get let in on -- or bust their own way into -- the old scary secret. Some peculiar stuff, I can tell you. It's vaguely chronological, by Era of Youth. Some of it's sweet, most of it relatively benign, some of it tragic in its truth-telling, and some of it just plain wrong. I'm about to move out of my parents' house, and I guess this is my subconscious way of commemorating my adulthood to date. Or something. Anyway, um... enjoy?Feedback:
Yikes!
Oh, TOO weird! Have you ever heard Mark Graham's "Oedipus Rex"? It's right up there in the pantheon w/ Tom Lehrer's - ("He killed his pa & married his ma - they don't even do that in Arkansas!")
Yes, this is an odd one. But a good one. And the Tom Lehere song is one of my faves by him.
scarey concept
Bizarre-o but fascinating.
