Comment:
they say that "imitation is the highest form of flattery" though you wouldn't know it thanks to covers by mediocre pop-stars like jessica simpson & sugar ray. i put together a double-CD-mix of my favorite covers & their originals, covers i feel retain the passion & actually succeed in their attempt at flattery instead of shaming the artists who originally performed them.
Feedback:
The few I'm familiar with I agree with you on, and I shall endeavour to familiarize myself with the ones I'm not. Good mix, lovely cover.
Looks great, Poppy. (BTW: I believe Springsteen actually wrote the song "Fire" for neo-rockabilly singer Robert Gordon, though it was the Pointer Sisters who had the hit with it.)
Nicely done. I especially like the Deftones vs. Sade tune.
Brilliant... and kudus for realizing that Nothing Compares To You wasn't a Sinead original.
really well done, I like the cover as well.
Great Mix , sincerly .
