Comment:
1. 79:09 | 2. 79:08Moodily brooding classical/ambient mashup:
Peteris Vasks'
5-movement String Quartet #4,
deconstructed...then re-sequenced (into a much more natural setting)...performed by the
Kronos Quartet.
Feedback:
nice cover. I won't comment on the music because I don't know any of it, but I have a hunch it's pretty damn good.
Spectacular. And, as always, lovely cover art.
Ooo! Spectralists!
Looks beautiful Gene. Not heard of Vasks but I'm sure that'll be remedied.

This is wonderful, and very well thought-out! Nice Harold Budd pick...oh yes, and very much ditto other comments on the cover art.
Ditto all the others Gene-- this looks lovely.
Kronos rocks! Yeah, you know what I mean. Philip Glass and John Cage are doing it too.
Ooooh - this looks extremely nice - crashing over the tumbling falls - sliding over the slippery, cool, smooth stones - water-logged, drenched and breathless - slipping into the quiet pool below while the songs of nightbirds and crickets converge in a repeating, exquisite harmony...
...at least that's the "impression" I get...

Yeah i'm with yertle...love the artwork.
Is that Martinez track from Solaris sndrtck? Or have I confused him with someone else? This looks mighty fine and seems to include all the big movers and shakers in the ambient classic stakes...only Eno seems to be absent. Great stuff!
Dom:
Yes on the Martinez (gorgeous soundtrack--built an entire mix series around it last year).
As to Eno...he really pissed me off @ a party last week & I told him "No more mix inclusions for you sucker" (@ least for a few weeks).

Looks like an ambient classic!
Blackadder(12) may have issued the definitive statement on this mix...2.2 sure does look like a shot of pure pineal juice, or-looks as though it would stir up said juices! The cover art produces same.
I dont know a single track here but i like your Cover

Wow.
The package arrived this morning - the data became less obscure - the clouds engulfed my ears and only just now let go.

Wait - there's more:
This comes together as if meant to be. Each track flows into the other w/perfect harmony and feeling. This piece - as it really is all one piece - floats through the mind, nudging long-dormant synapses, gently awakening the deepest memories of being.
