Comment:

One of the greatest guitar bands of the late '90's indie scene (alongside, say, Yo La Tengo); however, like similarly well-respected post-punk superstars such as Superchunk, I find that I very rarely listen to any of their albums from start to finish. Sure, a few of their discs are pretty damn solid, but even the best of 'em wear on me. But strip out the 2-3 best tracks from each disc, and you've got one hell of a mix. I've been spinning this non-stop since I hit the burn button last week, and I'm still looking forward to taking it on tomorrow's commute.

Fucking BOSS. The only way it could possibly be better is if you included "Cleo" or "Stop The Show". Excellent.

This is the type of think I might need to be won over by BTS. Their records have always had some things I like, but overall nothing really impressed me. But over the years I've run in lots of BTS fans that have similar tastes as me, which makes me think I've been missing something. I NEVER reach for the 2 albums I have by them anymore - and every time I tracked them for a mix nothing leapt out at me.

Not real familiar with this band aside from a few songs here and there. Looks like a mix to convert the uninitiated.

I dunno, I LOVE Perfect from Now On from start to finish and thoroughly enjoy There's Nothing Wrong with Love, as well. Unfortunately, those are really the only two that do much for me these days. Some great picks here, for sure, although you left off "Twin Falls", which I think could be their finest moment after "Car."

I would love to have this. Looks like a great mix, I only have two of their CDs, The Normal Years and There's Nothing Wrong With Love...I'd love to hear what else I've been missing.

Weird -- B2S as a singles band! Keep It Like a Secret is perfect from start to finish, Nothing Wrong With Love has its open-hearted lo-fi love songs, and Perfect From Now On is one of the best album statements I've heard. I plan on making a B2S mix eventually, and the problem will be which songs NOT to use, since there are so many good ones. That and all the long songs on PFNO . . .
