Comment:

City Afternoon
A veil of haze protects this
Long-ago afternoon forgotten by everybody
In this photograph, most of them now
Sucked screaming through old age and death.
If one could seize America
Or at least a fine forgetfulness
That seeps into our outline
Defining our volume with a stain
That is fleeting too
But commemorates
Because it does define, after all
Gray garlands, that threesome
Waiting for the light to change,
Air lifting the hair of one
Upside down in the reflecting pool.
-- John Ashbery

I propose Curtis changes his name to Mr. Obscure. Oh, yeah, I'm sure this mix is totally rad.

Uhm, you ALMOST got me here, but jus' almost . . . I know (and even own) that Ligeti recording, but the rest . . . well, at least it comes with a nice poem. ;) Joking aside, I guess I'd like to give this one a try and a spin some time.

I know one (Chor Hamburg) - yay! Otherwise, I wish I knew the rest because I would really like to imagine the atmosphere of this a little better. I'm sure it's wonderful, though! :)

Great poem, illustrating yet again the notion, cliched as it is: "in a hundred years it won't matter." Old photographs-and old movies, do that to me...

I'm beginning to think you make shit up and post it just to see if we will comment on it. Truly fascinating -- I guess. I know none of this. You amaze me!

Excellent spelling. Great call on using brackets on cut 9 along WITH the parentheses. Sorry man, I've got nothing else. This one confuses me as much as it intrigues me.
