Comment:
I think there will be one additional pop/rock volume, then on to soul, etc. Although to some extent I've tried to avoid the most obvious picks, I really had to pick "Urban Spaceman" and "Holy Thursday" for my Bonzos and Axelrod tracks... they're just far and away my favorite songs by those folks. Title from the classic Marty Balin song credited to the Airplane.Feedback:
Again, another winner. Killer hat trick with the Hollie-Easybeats-Bee Gees combo. And a great riff to open a disc. I always forget that Sly Stone recorded in the sixties - I think of him as a 70's artist. Grand work as usual Sir Conroy.
another great "top of the pops" mix full of classic goodies from the melodic sixties
This may be my favorite in the series so far.
This series is just getting better and better. Nice one Rob.
Damn good stuff - ditto Muzag's comments...
Outstanding. I'd love to hear all three of these mixes.
Great!
Good stuff again!
I'll have I'm The Urban Spaceman running through my head for the next few days now! :) Fantastic again - loving the Tim Buckley and Yardbirds too.
Nice opener and wonderful picks throughout. Great series.
Looks good.
I liked what I saw until I got to the Dr. John cut -- and then I loved what I saw!!! This is excellent. Love to see early Bee Gees, Nancy & Lee, the Godz, and Ayers. And that's a gem of a Hollies cut, too! Excellent.
Love the Bonzo...first and only time I will ever say that statement!
ohh...and Godz
