Comment:

Another 2 cd extravaganza of whimsical nonsense, my specialty, and inspired by a 6 month stint in London.

Being from Glasgow, I had to look at what a title called "flim flam flum" would entail. Now, I have only heard the term once, so don't get too excited, but i must say this is incredibly whimsical. MaD PrOpZ (w00t!) for the Joni Mitchell, Paul Weller and Yardbirds picks. all in all, very good.

Looks fantastic Orchid. Sleeping with record store employees is generally a bad thing, but in this case it worked out in your favor. Too much cool stuff to sing out. So who are the identical twin cover girls?

Meant to say "single" out. but "sing out" sounds pretty good too!

I really, really like this. I'm also a Glaswegian, bells rang when I saw the title. I'm glad I had a look.

Glorious. I've had a few whirlwind record store romances myself, though never involving an employee I'm afraid.

This is about ten different kinds of good -- very well done. Major thumbs-up for the Elsa Poppin pick (just makes me smile knowing someone else has heard of them...)

Looks like you got your pick of the good stuff in that record store. Just from looking at the list, these look like two self-sufficient independent discs, but maybe hearing them they sound more like twins ? - the last tracks on each one sound like pretty final notes, though.

Outstanding. The pro/con seems to have weighted in your favor---this time. Choose wisely.......and these tracks are all choice. Everyone's a winner, babe, and that's no lie.

I have long been a fan of Ivor Cutler, and any mix that includes him immediately grabs my attention. The fact that this mix also includes Gong, Tim Buckley, the Fugs (a great choice!), the Red Krayola, and on an on is astounding. Plus you chose an excellent early and virtually unknown tune by the Bee Gees. This is excellent all the way around! A wonderful mix.

Looks like I'm late to the party on this one, but holy shit, these look fantastic. Record store romances can be good things. That's how I met my wife 10 years ago. ;-) Great, great mix.
