Comment:
Side one is wild old fifties rock, not your "Happy Days" oldies bullshit. As I was making the tape I was all hopped up on good beer so side two, I decided to keep the spirit and the attitude alive with rebeltone sounds more current, give or take 10 years.Feedback:
Why do your tapes consistently kick ass? Fabulous, Captain.
the only thing i could conceivabley add to this mix would be a smidgeon of Firewater. . . whoo-hoo!!
omg! High School Hellcats! this mix rocks...
Prowling the aotm archives, I find this gem. This is truly wonderful.
Your tape list made its way to our computer through a relative. You can't believe how surprised I was to see "Please Give Me Something" by Bill Allen & the Backbeats. I'm "that" Bill Allen, who also recorded Butterfly with the Keynotes on Eldorado label in 1957!! Allen is my middle name, which I used as a stage name (so to speak). What a kick to see someone actually listed a song I wrote along with all those other famous artists. Thanks for the memories.
