Comment:

This mix highlights some of the major uses of stinged orchestral stringed instruments. Some of the noticible hybrids are Bond's Explosive (techno w/ an authentic string quartet), Seven Nation's Twelve (Irish fiddle/bagpipe), Oleader's Halo (pizzicato), and, quite possibly the most interesting, Damien Rice's Eskimo (as voice and cello crescendo in a near-operatic climax).
