Made this compilation within a week of picking up the 'Fruit Tree' box set. After hearing Nick Drake name-dropped for over a decade I finally decided to take the plunge. I'm kicking myself for having waited so long. I enjoy listening to this a lot more than the 'Way to Blue' best-of CD, which I think leaves out too many essential tracks, but that's just my opinion. These songs fit on a 90-minute cassette (just barely - had to make one or two edits)... I'm not saying this mix is an ideal introduction, but it's damn close; I've already used it to turn two friends on to Nick Drake.

Nice mix, fine selections. I still have my Fruit Tree Box set I bought on vinyl back in the mid 80's. I haven't upgraded it to CD and still listen to those records. They haven't been to far from the stereo since I got it. Its really refreshing to see folks finally discovering Nick.
Yeah, I too have succumb to a recent outpouring of reccomendations and just bought the box set. Brilliant.
