As an experiment, and in honor of my forthcoming birth anniiversary, I decided that with a little judicious programming of iTunes' Smart Playlist feature, that I would make a different mix CD every day in July 2004. The smart playlist feature would pick 78 minutes worth of songs randomly, the only alteration would be one random computer shuffling of the playlist, and the Smart Playlist would be told to exclude songs already used on previous playlists in this series. Since I came up with the concept for the series a day late, I did July 1st and 2nd back to back and will be posting them in that mannner as well. Also, the randomization was not executed on this playlist as a matter of accident; this will be of course recified from the second volume on!
