Comment:
Volume 3 of a 3-disc set encapsulating the music of one of my all-time favorite bands. This volume covers the span from 1983's "Sparks in Outer Space" through their most recent release, last year's "Li'l Beethoven"For further reading, please see Volume 1.
Feedback:
Even though they had their moments, it was hard to hang onto Sparks much past Pulling Rabbits. I cut them a lot of slack and enjoyed hearing new songs, but once the novelty of having new Mael stuff wore off I stopped returning to their later records. Which is why I surprised at howgood the last one was. Nice trilogy - you made a lot of different choices than I would have, but the songs are so damn strong you really can't go wrong.
Nice. I would have gone a little heavier on "Plagiarism," though. I especially like the remakes of "Change" and "When Do I Get To Sing My Way?".
