In the mid-'80s, while the Sunset Strip was riding high on a tousle of teased coifs, something else entirely was bubbling up in Los Angeles' darker corners. Fusing metal with punk, funk, and an unmatched way with the art of provocation, Jane's Addiction was bringing a sense of epic danger back to rock 'n' roll. With the albums [i]Nothing's Shocking[/i] and [i]Ritual de lo Habitual[/i], the quartet would spearhead the alt-rock revolution before dismantling — only to reunite and remind us how electrifying they truly were.
