Comment:

The Southern California mod scene was thriving from the moment the Question broke on the scene in 1981 all the way up to the USA Mod's Mayday in 1989. The bands here --and the songs-- were the cream of the mod crop, and I wish I had more recordings by each and every one of them.

Superb! I was never a mod myself, but I miss the days when I'd see 30 mirror-infested scooters parked outside our local theater whenever Quadrophenia was being shown.

You need to add the Boxboys' uptempo ska number "Separate Rooms". That rightfully could be said to be a song that launched the LA mod scene.
