Hehehe - brilliant Dom, have to say that I watch Nigella's programmes for a good dose of inadvertent comedy (adjectives like "luscious" and "succulent" a go-go and how many times will she lick the ingredients off her fingers this week? etc.) - but anyway, nice mix! I like the 5.6.7.8's picks and of course the Elastica / Mark E. Smith - basically the whole of the first side looks like a lot of fun.
Well, wouldn't you know I would post a mix immediately following this great compilation. Absolutely excellent, Dom!!! Strangely, my mix has a song by the 5.6.7.8's, too. Very fine, indeed!
boss
Another super-cool mix, good sir. Great stuff all the way around, (though, I have to agree w/Marie that side 1 looks extra fun)
This looks fantastic!
Maniacally twisted and neat-o-riffic.
exactly what Marie said (both on Nigella and the first side)
Dig it! I'm going to have to check out the Sex Pistols cover of (I'm Not Your) Stepping Stone.
Another great looking mix, Dom.I have to agree with Marie too, regarding Nigella. I like her writing ('How To Eat' is a modern classic) but for someone who writes with such intelligence and understanding, her constant camera-flirting on TV annoys. Anyway, great work Dom.
Aaaaa that Syd Barrett song is perfect! "Ice cream, 'scuse me, I've seen you looking good the other evening" indeed.
This looks really great.
It's tough to trust frontbench Tory progeny and Saatchi intimates (they had a sculpture of a guys head made out of blood. In thier Freezer! Ferkrisakes!), but this is a dope up tape. Check here for some insightful if brainbashing music/celebrity chef comparison... Delia Smith = Bob Dylan !? (mainly on 3.7.04)
Looks great! If I wasn't married, I'd be jealous of that watermelon.
awesome stuff, love side two especially, and that's my favorite x-ray spex tune
I do believe you've outdone yourself here, Dom...and that ain't an easy trick!
Ooh Nigella, the thinking man's totty. She could lick my fingers' any day. Where wasz I? Oh yeh, lots of great stuff here and that 's my fav. Hawkwind track from 'Quark, Strangeness & Charm.' TrTs Bien as ever, how I wish you'd led that mission with Kylie to rescue me!
Kylie who?
I've found a new love.........and damned fine mix as well!
I've found a new love.........and damned fine mix as well!
Ooh, this is excellent. Love the Beatles through Elastica / Mark E. (..aah...) especially. That Nigella looks to be quite the peach. Does she swallow the seeds do you think?
Humungous thumbs up for the Warren Smith pick. And that Gerri Halliwell was surpsisingly enjoyable.
