The title comes from a Simon Armitage poem. I made this a couple of weeks ago as a parting gift (and impromptu birthday present, such is my sense of timing) for my (now former) creative writing teacher, based in part around artists I've mentioned to her as being particularly good and in part around recent listening. It was largely on her recommendation that I got into David Bowie and Johnny Cash, y'know ...Feedback:

this looks emotionally charged. i took the liberty of picking up copies of mazzy star's "so tonight that i might see" and "among my swan" in the hmv sale today, which i strongly recommend to you, adam (the sale, not the records, which of course you already have). there i also procured discs by tricky, the four tops, steely dan, public enemy, grace jones, echo and the bunnymen, smokey robinson & the miracles, yellow magic orchestra and prince. everyone's a 50 quid bloke nowadays...
