Comment:
I set out to make a stones mic cd, 2 cd tops, but I couldn't come close to cutting that many songs from the final track list. So instead I'm doing a series of cds, each with a certain musical style being spotlighted. Since I'm in a wah wah mood still I started with my favorite their more country songs. I'm also using this series to turn a few friends onto the stones so I'm doing my best to stay right at 45 minutes for each cd. Don't want to overwhelm them.Feedback:
You made the right choices.
damn.
this is nice.
I hate to criticize - so think of this more as my-2-pennies - I woulda stuck w/the orginal vers. of Shine a Light - BUT that by no means takes anything away from this mix - very, very excellent.

Thanks. :) I went back and forth, I just love the way mick sounds on the stripped version. The drama of his voice as he moved into the song pulled me in, also the vocal is much deeper/louder. Had I used the original I think I might have run the last half of the mix into the ground. I love both versions though and yeah you can't beat the original.
stripped is great - i agree - their best album in a while, really - partial to the original - but you done no wrong here - great greate grate job.
