volume one of my mix project: take a pile of mixes I've received from various people here on AOTM and put my favorite songs off of them onto a series of cd's. forgive me for using a few weakerthans songs on here, but that was the exception since it was from my copy of "Left And Leaving". these songs were graciously given to me by Zach, Joey O., and Chris James. expect more volumes to follow in the coming weeks. (there's 7 volumes so far and counting) infinite thanks goes out to all of you fine people and your generosity!Feedback:
Great idea. 100 plus mix CDs received can be pretty daunting, I would imagine. Thanks for the comment on my last mix. I really love "A Ghost Is Born," although it almost makes me appreciate how perfect "YHF" was in a way. As good as "Ghost" is, it doesn't feel like a true classic like "YHF" did to me.
It's a good idea, but I don't have too many mixes from others to compile. Actually I just have too many of my own mixes! And compiling my own mixes would be silly because it's like making a very mean sounding collage... "mean sounding collage"? *shaking head*, did I really just type that? -- And you know what I have been going back to YHF since Ghost came out even though I love both of them, but YHF keeps going through my mind! -- bedtime!

I've been thinking about doing this lately, too. And by the way: Rhett Miller and Ben Kweller together?? NO WAY!!! I must hear this!

Interesting, interesting, interesting. Like Charlie I too don't have enough mixes that have been given to me to pull off this feat, but I'll have to keep this idea in mind for when I do start to drown in gift CD's.
