Comment:

I cannot fully describe how frustrating the past year has been for me; like an evil cosmic joke, or an ironic punishment from the gods. I was listening to the song "PDA" and the line " You are so cute when you are frustrated" hit me like divine epiphany. It had the same sound , the same feel as those patronizing statements from friends when they try halfheartedly to be reaffirming and reassuring--but all they actually are is vapid. It was at that time that the sketch for the illustration that graces the cover of this CD came to me. So that's how it all comes together. Some songs to help me through... until things change.

Hope things look up for you soon. Camus was something of a pessimist. Try reading Robert Anton Wilson. The eternal optimist in the face of desolation.

This does look intriguing. Great artwork, first of all - simple and to the point. Then you begin with the double punch of Interpol and the Police - that coupling wouldn't have occured to me, but it makes perfect sense. Gotta love that PRG song - used it on my "Time Travel is Fictional" mix. Great closer picks, too, it's hard to go wrong with solo Gabriel.Camus looked at Sisyphus' endless repetitions and saw a man who could rise above it all. Pessimist, yes, but not a defeatist.
