Comment:

A collection of rockin' sounds from the oughts; 2000 & beyond. A friend goes on and on about no good rock music in recent years so I give `em this mix. I "hate to say I told you so" and he's happy.
The Sleepy Jackson and the last two My Morning Jacket albums are rocking my world right now in heavy rotation in my walkman walking to work.

Great stuff - those that say there's no good music out there - of any style - are just not listening!

lotsa rockin' tunes here, George. There are still lotsa good tunes these days, just gotta look a little harder than you once did. Because there is so much crap out there it';s easy to de dismissive and just say "It's all crap these days". This groovy mix proves that to be a mistake.

Well said! When I hear the "ya damn kids with yer music" thing it really annoyes me - we weren't all able to have our formative years in the 60s or 70s, and I like to think that the 90s and 00s can stand up to those decades. Loads of great stuff here - I love that entire British Sea Power album, and you chose one of my favourites from Turn On The Bright Lights. MMJ are indeed great too - nice work!
