An Ahistorical Argument
Comment:
The Parker tunes are from the Dean Benedetti tapes, just of Parker's solos. This version of Kaya starts with Peter Tosh knocking on a door and asking Bunny Wailer, "Iah, do you have any kaya?" Bunny's response is "Seen, Jah."Feedback:
This looks fantastic! I'd love to hear it.
I agree with Mo Twang!, on both counts. Exceptional!
yeah, good stuff
Odd mix, and a bit aurally painful in places, but not bad.
Fascinating indeed! Lots of great choices here. Nice job!
Tremendous. I have a ton of Bird but it's just the usual passed studio cuts and live stuff. I haven't sought out any amateur recorded stuff - too bad they cropped the heads, though.
sounds pretty good....i've gotta track down that arthur doyle track...
Really excellent.
How do I set up trades with you all? I'd love to send this stuff out if I can get some hot grooves in return. e-mail me with an address and we can set something up.
Wow, this is great - keep posting stuff like this!!
Lookin' tasty here Nick...., welcome to AotM.
This looks first class. Welcome indeed
Great, great stuff. Love the Bailey/Oxyley and Bailey/Ibarra picks especially, but, it's all good. Cheers for using the Benedetti tapes.
Very nice mix - welcome to AotM :)
Nice, indeed!
I've listened to this and it deserves all the accolades!
How have I missed all of your mixes until now? This is absolutely tremendous... if you can stand the idea (and once my burning software gets fixed/replaced), we should set up a trade.
Hey Nick I was running a Sonny Clark search and this great mix popped up. Some really great stuff here! Kudos!
