Comment:

Finally got around to reworking my Wire compilation as a 2-cdr expanded set. Disc one is their classic early period, drawing from their legendary first three albums (plus a few singles and live tracks from the disturbing Document & Eyewitness album). Disc two is an admittedly haphazard jog through what came later. My collection is far from complete (omitting some of their frequently lame latter-day albums and most of the solo projects), but the disc still holds together nicely, owing largely to the fine Colin Newman solo album A-Z (which sounds a lot like a fourth Wire disc would likely have sounded), and the surprisingly durable Ideal Copy reunion disc from 1985.

You hit most of the high points and wisely avoid the lows. And, yeah, good move to include the material from "A-Z." Nicely done!

Finishing off with In The Art Of Stopping - smart! On the strength of the Disc 1 stuff mainly, one of the best bands ever.

Totally wired! Nice mix, but nothing by Elastica? Just kidding of course. Looks like you've compiled all of Wire's ace tunes, including the beautiful The 15th and Map Ref. 24S. 77E.
