Pretty much all the Ramones I'll ever need -- some may disagree, but I think the band basically released three outstanding albums that changed the world, followed by a whole lotta not much (with some decent tracks spread over the years).

I'll say the Ramones made FOUR great records that changed the world, followed by another solid few albums. I'll fully endorse the band through Too Tough to Die and then I'd have to cherrypick the gems after that. By the end the records were pretty lackluster. But you nailed most of the essentials. -Dale/ThisIsPop

i'm with dale in saying you underrate 'road to ruin,' which is just about my fave of theirs. how can you miss 'i just want to have something to do', the 'needles and pins' cover and the amazing ballad 'questioningly'? for sure, they fell off a cliff after that. nice selections otherwise.

"Road to Ruin" kicks total ass. It's a beautiful pop record, and it rocks.

Ok, fine, I'll concede Road to Ruin is pretty good. It actually was my favorite of theirs for a long time (owing in no small part to the fact it was their first album with decent production). But, I dunno, as I was making the mix, I just found it easier to delete those tracks to save space than anything from the first 3.

Totally agree with what Dale says. The first four are essential, after that, the quality tailed off somewhat, but all their records are worth having and this is a great mix, Dale. Hope you're well.

Nice. You put the emphasis where it belongs, but I'd probably hit that first album even harder, myself.
