Comment:
Three vibraphone tracks, three great guitar tracks and saxophone glossolaila.Feedback:
I haven't heard the Taylor/Oxley, Bailey/Parker recordings, but I'm sure they're (along with Shipp) painful listens. You certainly like your jazz with a bit of glass and nails, eh? However, one certainly can't accuse you of making uninteresting mixes.
No Shipp on here, only Sharp and Shepp. And no, the Shepp tune isn't painful at all. But I find Norah Jones painful, so maybe that's it.
Sorry, I read Shipp for Sharp. But I'm sure you're a Shipp fan, too, no? David S. Ware also? Ack. At least you got something right with the Rollins tune. And, no, I didn't confuse Shipp for Shepp (although Shepp has gone through unlistenable periods too!). Do you have Shepp's Trouble in Mind duet cd with Horace Parlan?
Hmm, I'd say you got quite a bit right. Not least the Elliott Sharp, Bailey/Parker, Taylor/Oxley, Wire, VU, etc., etc.
Wow. This looks really nice - you're on a roll, Mr. Nick.
Fanatastic. In addition to sharing your Derek Bailey fixation, I worship the Spacemen.
Looks great. That Mingus track is the one that sucked me into jazz.
