Comment:

This is my very first submission to the Art Of The Mix community. The tape has been done on January 31st, 2004, from midnight until...well later in the morning, and it's my latest. I realized that the more I wait before doing another mix, the better it is. As a teenager, I used to make lots of them - like one every week - and the same tracks (or the same artists) would come out too often on too many of those mixes.

I think that this one is actually a very high-standard work in the eclectism field. It changes mood after a couple of tracks. I especially enjoy the suite from Zuco 103 through the end of side A : it's a very danceable, refreshing sequence. For those not familiar with the Musique quTbTcoise, let's say that Anne RenTe is RenT Angelil's (CTline's manager and husband)former wife. Mara Tremblay is a french-canadian alternative-country-punk singer, and Fabienne Thibault is a vocal, MOR, ballad-oriented singer.
We can also hear on this tape one of Bollywood's classic tracks, Nazia Hassan's Aap Jaisa Koi, which is some kind of an Indian response to Dancing Queen and The Tide Is High , as well as a disco-Maghreb lo-fi gem: Ellila Matefrach by Chaba Zahouania. Now let's hope some of you will enjoy it ! (By the way, I'm not very comfortable with all these pictures stuff. I will probably limit myself to the tracks for the moment.)

Great work. Not familiar with how most of side one sounds, but I will take your word for it. What I know of side 2 looks great. Not enough Scorpions in mixes.
