Siouxsie and the Banshees sprouted from London's proto-punk scene, but persisted past its heyday by putting a deviant pop spin on other sounds. The slurred accordion and back-spun record on "Peek-A-Boo" is catchy creepiness, "Hong Kong Garden" is like a kung-fu flick with a studded-collar score, and "Kiss Them For Me" features an oft-sampled, unstable synth hook.
